Oleksandr founded PLESA in Kyiv in 2018 as a full-cycle digital agency. At first, the brief looked familiar: build better websites, content and advertising. But the closer we moved to revenue, the clearer it became that a campaign was only a small part of the outcome.
BLACK+DECKER became the turning point. Behind the words ‘online store’ sat an entire operation: storefront, technical support, acquisition, email, our own customer-service centre and every customer conversation until an order was ready to ship. The store reached break-even in six months. That was when we stopped thinking like a campaign agency and started building growth systems.
Valeriia joined PLESA because she had reached the same conclusion from the other side of the business. After helping scale manufacturing from 200,000 to 5–6 million units per month while reducing defects to 0.3%, she knew that strategy without process, people, finance and control remains a well-designed presentation.
Kyiv is where the studio was born and where our pace was formed. Sofia is the European operating base from which we enter new markets. They are not two disconnected offices, but one working culture: Ukrainian entrepreneurial speed, European discipline and direct partner accountability.
